Cat6 cables can handle 1Gbit/s over a distance of 100 meters. The advantage compared to Cat5 is that the cable can more easily carry signals in two directions, and there are fewer problems with signal leakage. Cat6 has frequencies around 250Hz, which is beneficial if you use one cable with multiple computers. These cables are especially suitable for use with IP cameras.
